The Guidance and Psychological Counseling undergraduate program aims to train professionals who can support individuals in their personal, social, educational, and career development. Students gain a strong foundation in human development, counseling theories and techniques, ethical principles, and approaches tailored to different stages of life. With this background, graduates are equipped to provide effective counseling services for both individuals and groups.
Psychological counseling is understood not only as responding to the difficulties people face but also as guiding them to recognize their strengths, realize their potential, and make healthy decisions. In recent years, guidance policies and mental health projects carried out by the Ministry of National Education and other public institutions have further emphasized the importance of psychological counselors and expanded their responsibilities in the education system. In this context, it is essential that future counselors develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, allowing them to deliver services that are scientific, ethical, and supportive of well-being.
