About the GPC Thesis-Based Master’s Program

To hold a bachelor's degree in Guidance and Psychological Counseling,
Applicants must have obtained at least 60 points in the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in the relevant score type of the program applied for, or have an equivalent score from an exam recognized as equivalent to ALES by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Graduates of this program may apply for doctoral programs.

Students who complete at least 8 courses (24 credits) throughout the program,
Achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00,
Successfully complete the seminar course and defend their thesis successfully, are eligible to graduate with a Master’s Degree with Thesis.

Most graduates of the program are employed in school settings or as academics at universities, in university counseling centers, private psychological counseling centers, psychological counseling units of the Turkish Armed Forces and police organizations, family and child courts, as well as other health and industrial institutions and organizations.
